RYDON PRIMARY SCHOOL

Dear Parents 

 

May we first offer you a warm welcome to Rydon Primary School.  We hope that you and your child/children will have a very happy time here.   

 

At Rydon we have an active Parents Association which aims to support the school community by: 

• Raising money for the school to pay for equipment and resources which enhance the pupils’ school life 

• Creating opportunities for children and their families to come together and enjoy fun, sociable events in and out of normal school hours 

• Contribute funding and oversee the coordination of voluntary help at school events such as Christmas class performances and sports day 

The money raised has been used for a variety of things including most recently the development of the garden area, donation towards school events and hoodies for the Year 6 leavers. 

 

Getting involved  

 

The committee that coordinates the activities and events positively encourages everyone to get involved.  Whether you choose to become involved on the PA committee, offer regular or occasional help with events, share your skills / talents or simply send supplies to support our events, your help is important and much appreciated.  

 

The PA committee meets once each term to discuss and organise our programme of events.  The meetings are friendly and new members are always welcome.  So look out for the date of the next meeting and feel free to come along and join us.  

 

If you wish to join the PA committee or would like to offer occasional help, please let the school office know that you give consent for your email and information regarding any other contact details along with the name and class of your child to be shared with us. The PA can also be contacted by emailing PA@rydonprimary.org.uk and we will respond at the earliest opportunity.   

 

Events and Activities 

 
Details of events and activities will be advertised in the school newsletter and on the PA noticeboard which is located in the front playground. Also, you may wish to join the Friends of Rydon PA group on Facebook.   

 

We hope that you and your family will enjoy attending some of our events throughout the school year.
