Year 3 at Morwellham Quay
On Friday 1st November Year 3 set off on a long coach ride to Morwellham Quay.
The children had a fantastic day experiencing what it was like to be a Victorian school child and ventured underground on the mine train to step back in time and learn about working in the mines. The children particularly enjoyed showing their strength and ‘rock breaking’, where they hunted out the copper ore which they could take away as a souvenir.
The trip was a super way to finish our history topic ‘What was it like to be a child in Victorian times?’
